Mayor Wilson Officially Opens Bay Park

Yesterday, Lord Mayor of Parramatta, Cr. Andrew Wilson, joined leading property developer, Piety THP, for the official opening of Wentworth Point’s striking new 5,000 sqm park, Bay Park.

Part of a $700 million development project, Bay Park is set to give residents in 466 apartments a green oasis like no other – right in the heart of the west.

The development, named One The Waterfront, aims to make outdoor living a part of everyday life, with Bay Park boasting a modern rain garden, playground with a slippery dip, walking paths, lush green areas, BBQ facilities and shade areas for small and big kids to enjoy.

Lord Mayor of Parramatta, Andrew Wilson celebrated the completion of Bay Park by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and unveiling a plaque dedicated to the people of Wentworth Point.

“I am delighted to announce the opening of this beautiful new park in Wentworth Point. Bay Park spans over 5,000 sqm, providing somewhere for family and friends to come together and enjoy the lush green lawns, walking paths, playgrounds and BBQ facilities. Green communal spaces are integral for our community members to not only live a healthy life, but to thrive,” said Lord Mayor of Parramatta, Cr. Andrew Wilson.

The ceremony involved Elder Peta Strachan, traditional custodian of the Darung women of the Burruberongal clan, blessing delegates with a traditional smoke ceremony, along with songman, Matthew Doyle, and the Jannawi Dance Clan who performed a traditional dance.

Nigel Napoli, Head of Sales and Marketing for Piety THP, addressed attendees and spoke about the importance of bringing innovation and community-focused living to Sydney:
